Hand Sanitizer, The Ellen's Way...

What do you do when you cannot find hand sanitizer? You make it yourself! What do you do when you cannot find the "traditional" ingredients to make hand sanitizer? Well folks, you go to the bar and use good old fashion spirits and science from Cal Tech! Thank goodness for those professors! Below is the recipe we used in the video. Who knew grain alcohol had so many practical purposes. HAND SANITIZER RECIPE 2 Glass Measuring Cups 1 750 mL bottle of 190 Proof Grain Alcohol (We used Mohawk Brand, but any will work) 1/2 Cup of Water 1 Tbs Glycerine (found on the baking isle!) 2 drops of Orange Essential Oil Start out by pouring 1/2 cup of the grain alcohol into the first glass measuring cup.
